We both bring broad experiences in diverse fields which have served us well in dreaming and creating Oh My Goddess! Karla has a successful background in retail involving high-end kitchen and interior design. She owned and operated a furniture and home decor store for 14 years while my 25 years in Human Resources were a sound base for dealing with people from all walks of life. It was while living in Mexico 15 years ago that I discovered the manufacturer of the clothing line we now carry. Upon returning to Canada, I was able to access these clothes through a regional wholesaler and these styles have remained a staple in my wardrobe ever since and have become the heart and core of Oh My Goddess!

Much time was spent dreaming of creating a business together, playing with different ideas and locations until finally, in the spring of 2019, all elements came together when a friend made us aware of the possibility of doing business in the beautiful island of Sint Maarten. Having never really been to the island, we made a short exploratory trip in mid 2019 and were enthralled with the beauty of the area and excited by the potential for establishing a thriving business in the shopping core of the island. We followed our hearts and opened the main store in early December 2019. Little did we know that something called 'Covid' was to derail our progress for the next two years when all tourism dried out instantly. In order to generate some local supporting income, we opened a small Outlet to offer some styles at reduced cost. Back to the present, with the world now open to all travelers, the momentum we first expected is now becoming a reality and it is with great pride and enthusiasm that we now can share our dream with all in this E-commerce website.
